MY STORY
Rene "SOUL" Felix
Being born and raised in the San Fernanado Valley , my art has been inspired by the chicano community and my Mexican heritage. Our culture is usually religious and very superstitious,our home remedies for sickness and spiritual illness handed down for generations. Having been around these superstitions and beliefs I was intrigued and inspired by "La Santa Muerte" which translates to The Saint of Death. This concept of 'LIFE' after 'DEATH' amazed me and made me wonder with an open mind. And a lot of my Art, Paintings and Tattoo Work are inspired by this concept, I was also very influenced by the music scene and the art on the walls of the Valley and L.A. lining the streets. I love where I come from , who I am and creating art that inspires thought and represents my culture. I use bright & bold colors and a unique combination of visual representations.
